Release @valeromance - Broken Magic by Catherine Vale (Worlds of Magic #1)

Broken Magic
Worlds of Magic #1
by Catherine Vale

Goodreads blurb:  Dragons, mages, witches and the weirdest creatures you'll ever meet.

Ever since Alice Stark's parents disappeared unexpectedly, she has been on a mission to find them. Her search has taken her to strange worlds of magic and mayhem and to dangerous realms filled with mythical beasts and dark magic creatures.

Her next adventure will be unlike any other before...

When Alicia finds herself stuck in an unusual world called Wonderland, she is forced to fight her way out. With her magic suddenly useless, it will take more than spell-work to survive. She will have to risk everything if she wishes to defeat the dark power that controls the world and her destiny.

Broken Magic is the gripping first story in the Worlds of Magic Series. If you enjoy stories filled with enchanting creatures, otherworldly monsters, inhuman allies, and a dash of romance in a fantasy setting, purchase a copy of this book! This story was inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

About the Author:  Catherine Vale has been writing fiction for as long as she can remember, but it wasn’t until she wrote her very first paranormal romance story that she found herself hooked on the raw, edgy love affair of shifters, vampires and other dominant alpha males and the captivating women that love them.

Catherine Vale writes both contemporary and paranormal romance for readers who are willing to take a walk on the wild side of love.  Her stories always include powerful alpha males, smart and sassy heroines and a happily-ever-after (even if she often put her characters through hell to get there!)

My Thoughts – 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  Yes, I got a review copy of this book, (but I have already bought my own copy) but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!!

The cover is very cool!  I like it!

This is the first book in the series!

This is an interesting new world!  My only disappointment is that there was no romance, but I’m hoping that changes in the next book.  There were some slow parts for me with the world building, but this happens in new worlds.  I definitely think it is going to grow and getter better as Grayson and Alicia’s relationship grows.  There is the mystery of looking for Alicia’s parents, and she ends up in a world similar to Alice’s Wonderland.  Alicia fights for others which makes me admire her.  Grayson had some moments where he needed to be slapped and have his eyes opened.  In the end, he made up for his mistakes.  The faeries were interesting characters.  I can’t wait to see what Alicia and Grayson get themselves into next!

I recommend to all paranormal fans who like interesting worlds mixed with witches, mages, shifters, magic, and more!  I can’t wait for more!
