Review @PaigeTyler - Her Perfect Mate by Paige Tyler (X-Ops #1)

Her Perfect Mate
X-Ops #1
by Paige Tyler

Goodreads blurb:  When Special Forces Captain Landon Donovan is picked for an assignment with the Department of Covert Affairs, he’s stunned to find his new partner is a beautiful woman who looks like she couldn’t hurt a fly, much less take down a terrorist.

Ivy Halliwell isn’t your average covert op. Her feline DNA means she can literally bring out the claws when things get dicey. She isn’t thrilled to be paired with yet another military grunt, but Landon is different. He doesn’t think she’s a freak and he’s smokin’ hot.

Soon they find themselves facing a threat even greater than anyone imagines...and an animal magnetism impossible to ignore.

About the Author:  Paige is a USA Today Bestselling Author. She graduated from The
University of West Florida with a degree in education in 2000, but decided to pursue a full-time career as a writer in 2004. Since then, she’s written over fifty books in several genres, including paranormal,
contemporary, western, sci-fi and erotica. She loves writing about strong, sexy, alpha males and the feisty, independent women who fall for them. From verbal foreplay to sexual heat, her stories of romance, adventure, suspense, passion and true love will leave you breathlessly panting for more.

She and her very own military hero (also known as her husband) live on the beautiful Florida coast with their adorable fur baby (also known as their dog). Paige graduated with a degree in education, but decided to pursue her passion and write books about hunky alpha males and the kickbutt heroines who fall in love with them.

When not working on her latest book, Paige enjoys reading, jogging, P90X, Yoga, Pilates, going to the beach, watching NFL football, watching movies and hanging out with her husband (not necessarily in
that order!)

Some Fun Facts about Paige…

She loves anything and everything Disney related, and has pictures with every Disney character to prove it.

Her favorite Disney characters are Tigger, Pooh, Goofy and Tinkerbell.

She's addicted to dark chocolate, Pinterest and Sephora.

She'll tell you she's not exactly the outdoor type, but yet she loves the beach.

She studied ballet for twelve years.

She went to art school, and yes, figure drawing was her favorite class (probably because all the nude models were male!)

She collects Barbie Dolls, plush animals and Jim Shore Disney.

She's just as likely to have Rhianna, Lady Gaga, Pitbull, Ke$ha, Black Eyed Peas and LMFAO on her iPod as she is Billy Idol, Foreigner and Golden Earring (if you can dance to it, it's probably on there!)

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!  I own a paperback copy of this book!

This is book 1 in this series, but there is a prequel too!  This is for adults only due to the steamy and violent content.

I definitely loved this book, and I couldn’t put it down.  Tons of action and conflict which is my favorite kind of book!  I shouldn’t have taken so long to get this book in my reading rotation, but you know how it is when you are a book addict!  So many awesome books, and never enough time to read them all!

Ivy is definitely a kick butt heroine which is my favorite kind of leading lady!  I love when I get to read about girls kicking butt and being underestimated!  This is a unique take on shifters where they don’t completely shift and only take on characteristics of their animal.  Landon is a Special Forces officer who can definitely kick butt, but he knows how to be on a team and how to treat a lady and trust her.  They are definitely a perfect match!  This book had a lot of awesome people I hope to see more of and a few jerks that I don’t mind hating!  I can’t wait to read the next book because I own them all!

I highly recommend this book to all who love shifter books with tons of action!
