Review - Mating the Panther by Candace Ayers

Mating the Panther

by Candace Ayers

Goodreads blurb:  Will a BBW zoo keeper with a strong attachment to a rescued panther feel the same about him whenr he’s shifted back into a man?

Caleb is the CEO of PanCorp, a fortune 500 company, the Alpha of the most powerful panther shifter pack in the U.S, and Chicago’s most eligible bachelor. He is inundated with women everywhere he goes, yet none have what he’s looking for. Until… a twist of fate lands him in the arms of Felicia.

When Caleb falls victim to foul play, he is left injured on the the road. What’s worse, he’s in his panther state.
Fortunately, a local zoo comes to his aid.
Unfortunately, while sedated, he can’t shift back to a man.

Of course, when his injuries heal and he’s no longer sedated…

Felicia, a big cat handler at the city zoo is used to dealing with high-stakes situations. What she isn’t expecting to find one evening is a full-grown man standing naked in the middle of the cat enclosure.

Can this darkly seductive man really be Shadow, the injured panther brought in as a rescue months before?

This story is about 75 pages long. It is a standalone with a Happily Ever After ending. This book also contains several FREE bonus stories.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!!

The cover is definitely hot!

This story was included the book Thorn that I bought.  It is a novella and for adults only due to the steamy content.

I really liked this story, but it felt familiar.  I know I’ve read another story about a shifter in a zoo.  I don’t think it was this one, but it did give me déjà vu sensations while reading it.  This story had more action which I liked, but it ended too quickly.  I would have liked more of a wrap-up than it had. I really like Felicia.  Caleb was harder to connect with, but I can’t put my finger on why.

I recommend this story to all the big cat shifter fans!
