Review @CassidyWrites - Scoundrel by Cass Reynolds (Emerald Isle Tigers#1)

Scoundrel
Emerald Isle Tigers #1
by Cass Reynolds

Goodreads blurb:  Wicked Draven is the last man in the world Diana should be fantasizing about. The cocky tiger shifter is arrogant, unscrupulous, and sometimes cruel. He’s also the only one who can help her rescue her brother from his death sentence. Just one more reason why she shouldn't be imagining his lips on her neck, her body wrapped around his in the heat of passion…

Draven isn't the kind of man that allows himself to be manipulated by anything -- not even fate. When he lays eyes on Diana and his mating instincts fire off wildly, he pushes his tiger’s desires aside and concentrates on his goal: free the brother, get the all-too-tempting female out of his life for good. The last thing he needs in his life is a new weakness, and uptight, morally upstanding Diana can be nothing but…

Thrown together in an impossible race against time, Draven and Diana will have to navigate the choppy waters between them as they try to save a man’s life. Will their explosive chemistry lead to a soul-deep connection, or will it just distract them from their mission?

Are Diana and Draven too stubborn to give in, or will the mating curse ultimately bring them together?

The cover is beautiful and intriguing!

This is the first novella in this series.  It is about 67 pages and is for adults only due to the steamy content.

This world created by Cass is very intriguing and yet still a mystery to me because I have so many questions yet to be answered.  As most know I love my PNRs, especially of the shifter variety, so the tiger shifters are right up my alley.  I loved reading this book, but it was over much too soon.  This could have easily been a full novel and would have developed and shared more of the world with us.  This is not to say that there is anything wrong with this story, I just wanted more because I liked it so much.

This is Draven and Diana’s story.  Draven is a bad boy, but he has heart that he likes to keep hidden.  Diana is loyal and spirited.  They make quite the match.  I can’t wait to read her brother Chase’s story because I’m definitely intrigued by what the ending hinted at.

I recommend this story to all my shifter friends especially if you love tigers!
