Review - Her Secret Agent by Paige Tyler @PaigeTyler (X-Ops #0.5)

Her Secret Agent
X-Ops #0.5
by Paige Tyler

Goodreads blurb:  John Loughlin, the Director of the Department of Covert Ops, is in New York City on a recruiting mission. He’s been tracking and evaluating one shifter in particular for some time. Cree Forest is a clever fox shifter—and very foxy. Cree is a translator for the UN and John is keen to recruit her brilliant mind and persuasive skills to join the DCO.

But Cree isn’t what she seems. Just as John has been watching her, Cree has been spying on him. She is working with a rogue shifter and John is getting too close—professionally and personally! On opposite sides professionally, can they trust each other with their hearts?

About the Author:  Paige is a USA Today Bestselling Author. She graduated from The
University of West Florida with a degree in education in 2000, but decided to pursue a full-time career as a writer in 2004. Since then, she’s written over fifty books in several genres, including paranormal,
contemporary, western, sci-fi and erotica. She loves writing about strong, sexy, alpha males and the feisty, independent women who fall for them. From verbal foreplay to sexual heat, her stories of romance, adventure, suspense, passion and true love will leave you breathlessly panting for more.

She and her very own military hero (also known as her husband) live on the beautiful Florida coast with their adorable fur baby (also known as their dog). Paige graduated with a degree in education, but decided to pursue her passion and write books about hunky alpha males and the kickbutt heroines who fall in love with them.

When not working on her latest book, Paige enjoys reading, jogging, P90X, Yoga, Pilates, going to the beach, watching NFL football, watching movies and hanging out with her husband (not necessarily in
that order!)

Some Fun Facts about Paige…

She loves anything and everything Disney related, and has pictures with every Disney character to prove it.

Her favorite Disney characters are Tigger, Pooh, Goofy and Tinkerbell.

She's addicted to dark chocolate, Pinterest and Sephora.

She'll tell you she's not exactly the outdoor type, but yet she loves the beach.

She studied ballet for twelve years.

She went to art school, and yes, figure drawing was her favorite class (probably because all the nude models were male!)

She collects Barbie Dolls, plush animals and Jim Shore Disney.

She's just as likely to have Rhianna, Lady Gaga, Pitbull, Ke$ha, Black Eyed Peas and LMFAO on her iPod as she is Billy Idol, Foreigner and Golden Earring (if you can dance to it, it's probably on there!)

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

The cover is nice, but not as good as the other books in the series that I have, but haven’t read yet :)

I needed a quick read while at the ER today with my mom.  This is a novella in the series.  I picked it because I have the other books in the series in paperback, and my mom and grandma have already read them and said they were great reads :)

Paige does a fantastic job with her descriptions, and it is easy to picture everything while you read.  This is a new world for me and definitely one that I want more of.

John and Cree are a great pair and full of adventure.  I’m hoping I will see more of them in this series as I read.  Cree is a fox shifter, and she is very spirited which I love.  They are both strong and have each other’s backs which is always awesome.

I recommend this book to my shifter friends who love alphabet soup agencies mixed in with their shifters :)
