Netgalley Review - Lone Wolf's Captive by Sherilee Gray @Sherilee_Gray

Lone Wolf’s Captive
by Sherilee Gray

Goodreads blurb:  He let her father chase him off once, but this time nothing is getting in his way.

Fletcher Stone was forced out of the pack life, and now he makes his living as a hired thug, living day-to-day without honour or commitments. Shame over his choices and his lifestyle keep him from returning to the pack to claim Delaney — the woman who holds his heart. But when a rival pack hires him to kidnap her, Fletcher takes his chance. Now he must convince her that he never wanted to leave…and reveal a betrayal that will break her heart.

Delaney Jones has spent the last five years convinced the man she loves is dead. Nothing else would keep him from her. So when Fletcher shows up, whole, healthy, and very much alive, she’s devastated — and pissed off. He broke her heart once and he's never going to get close enough to do it again.

About the Author:  Sherilee’s always had a big (some may say warped) imagination, and as a kid scared herself conjuring up horror stories full of ghosts and other terrifying creatures. As she got older the stories changed quite a bit, but they were always there. Still, she never dreamed of actually writing down any of those wonderful imaginary people or places. Not until many years later when her sister introduced her to the wondrous world of romance novels, and her very large book collection.

She’s pleased to say, she still has the big imagination, and she still has monsters in her stories… only now they’re chasing their happily ever after.

Sherilee Gray is a kiwi girl and lives in beautiful NZ with her extremely supportive husband and their two children. When not writing or fueling her voracious book addiction, she can be found dreaming of far off places with a mug of tea in one hand and a bar of Cadburys Rocky Road chocolate in the other.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!
***Received ebook from Harlequin Enterprises Australia for an honest review

The cover is awesome, but I’m very partial to eyes.  A great pair of eyes always attracts my attention :) might be the whole window into the soul thing :)

This is only a novella length story according to Amazon about 67 pages, so it doesn’t take long to read.  This is an adult book as there are some steamy sex scenes.

This is the first story by Sherilee, and I liked it :)  I’m hoping she will write more :)  Her writing style is easy to get into and be sucked into the world :)

Fletcher has some insecurities due to his past, but he doesn’t realize how much he has grown since he had last been with Delaney.  Delaney has basically lived for working and nothing else since losing Fletch.  Their meeting back up is explosive and makes for a great story.  You get snippets of both of their back stories.  I prefer full length stories usually but this was a great quick story to get my paranormal fix :)

I recommend this novella to my shifter lovin’ friends who don’t have time to read a full length book and usually like to read start to finish without a break.
